This guide explains how to organize your property’s ad inventory in AdLuxe by setting up Sections and Zones. A well-structured inventory map ensures advertisers can easily target their ads and helps you maximize revenue.
1. Understanding Sections & Zones
- Sections: Broad content areas of your property (e.g., Homepage, Article Pages, Video Player).
- Zones: Specific ad placements within those sections (e.g., 300x250 sidebar, leaderboard banner, pre-roll video).
Quick Tip: Clear organization makes it easier to manage inventory and helps advertisers choose placements that fit their goals.
2. Creating Sections
- Log in to your AdLuxe account.
- Navigate to Inventory in your dashboard.
- Click Add Section.
- Name the section and assign it to a property.
- Save your changes.
3. Adding Zones to Sections
- Open the section where you want to add a zone.
- Click Add Zone.
- Choose the ad format (Display, Video, Native, etc.).
- Select ad sizes from IAB standards or custom dimensions.
- Set optional floor prices for premium spots.
- Save and generate the ad tag.
Quick Tip: Above-the-fold zones and in-content placements typically perform better.
4. Assigning Ad Formats & Targeting
- Match ad formats to the type of content in the section.
- Use contextual targeting where possible to improve ad relevance.
- Consider creating different zones for desktop and mobile layouts.
5. Testing Zone Performance
- Use test campaigns to ensure ads render correctly.
- Check Reports for impressions, clicks, and revenue by zone.
- Adjust placement or formats based on performance.
Quick Tip: Rotate creatives in high-performing zones to prevent ad fatigue.
6. Maintaining Your Inventory Map
- Periodically review and update your sections and zones.
- Retire low-performing zones or replace them with new formats.
- Keep zone names descriptive for easier reporting.
7. Next Step
Once your inventory mapping is complete, proceed to Installing Ad Tags (Web, App, OTT/CTV) to make your placements live and start serving ads.
