Creating File Links and vCard Links

File Links

File links let you securely share a document, image, or archive up to 50 MB through a unique CrownThrive short link. You can require a forced download, set a schedule, limit the number of clicks, protect your file with a password, or redirect users to another page after the link expires. File links can also be assigned to projects and splash pages to stay organised.

How to Create a File Link

  1. From your dashboard sidebar, select File links.
  2. Click File link to start a new link.
  3. Upload your file (supported formats include images, PDFs, ZIP files, Word docs and more up to 50 MB).
  4. Choose a custom short URL slug.
  5. Optionally enable Force download, set a start date and expiration date, define a click limit or an expiration redirect.
  6. Add a password or sensitive-content warning if the file is private.
  7. Select a project or splash page to keep assets organised.
  8. Click Create file URL to generate your link.

vCard Links

vCard links act as digital business cards. They contain your name, job title, company, contact information and social links in one place. When someone opens your vCard link, they can easily save your contact details to their address book.

How to Create a vCard Link

  1. Navigate to vCard links from the left sidebar.
  2. Choose Vcard link to start a new card and enter a short URL slug.
  3. Upload your avatar and fill in your name, email address, company, job title, website URL and physical address.
  4. Use the Create buttons to add multiple phone numbers or social media profiles.
  5. Add tracking pixels if you need analytics.
  6. Use scheduling, click limits, password protection and project assignment exactly as you would for file links.
  7. Click Create vCard URL to publish your digital business card.
  8. Now you can share files securely and give clients or collaborators an easy way to download documents or add you to their contacts with a single link.
