Privacy, Data Rights & Content Ownership Policy

Effective Date: July 30, 2025 Applies To: All users, members, creators, partners, and visitors across CrownThrive platforms including CrownThrive.com, ThriveAlumni, ThriveSeat, NeuralCraft, CrownLytics, ThrivePeer, and all subdomains and data systems.

1. Data Privacy Commitment

CrownThrive is committed to protecting the privacy of all users and their data. Our core principles include:

  • Consent-based data collection
  • Minimum necessary storage
  • Secure encryption at rest and in transit
  • User transparency and access rights

No user data is ever sold or shared with unauthorized third parties.

2. Categories of Data Collected

Depending on the platform, we may collect:

  • Personal Information: Name, email, IP, location, gender (optional)
  • Platform Usage: Clickstreams, login timestamps, referral links
  • Content Submissions: Blogs, portfolios, courses, forum posts
  • Financial Activity: Payments, donations, subscriptions
  • Biometric or media data (photos, voice clips) for avatars or profile videos (opt-in)

Sensitive information (SSN, bank details) is never stored unless legally required and encrypted via third-party payment processors.

3. Consent & User Control

Users must explicitly accept our Terms & Privacy Policy before using any CrownThrive service. In addition, users can:

  • Request a copy of all data associated with their account
  • Request deletion or correction of data (unless required for compliance)
  • Set privacy settings for visibility, search indexing, and public display
  • Opt out of non-essential email or marketing communications

Requests can be submitted via account dashboard or help.crownthrive.com.

4. Content Ownership & Licensing

Users retain full ownership of all original content uploaded to CrownThrive platforms, including:

  • Articles
  • Creative works
  • Videos
  • Personal bios and portfolios
  • Courses and course materials

By uploading, users grant CrownThrive a non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable license to display and promote the content solely within its platforms and official marketing channels.

5. Platform-Generated & Collaborative Works

When users collaborate (e.g., course co-authoring, AI-powered tools like NeuralCraft), the following applies:

  • Content co-created using AI is considered jointly owned unless otherwise agreed
  • Platform-generated templates, guides, and structures (e.g., ThriveU course formats) are owned by CrownThrive
  • Attribution must be provided where required, especially in public showcase or portfolios

6. Third-Party Tools & Analytics

We utilize tools such as:

  • Google Analytics
  • Meta Pixel
  • Stripe Analytics
  • CrownLytics internal tracking system

These tools help us improve experience and functionality. Users may opt out of external tools through browser settings or platform opt-outs.

7. Data Breach & Notification Protocol

In the event of a data breach:

  • Users will be notified within 72 hours
  • Breach scope, impact, and mitigation efforts will be disclosed
  • Affected data will be listed and steps for protection (e.g., password resets) will be provided
  • Internal audits and external forensic reviews may be initiated

8. Retention & Archiving

We retain user data:

  • For the duration of the user’s relationship with the platform
  • For 12–36 months after account closure (for legal, fraud, or tax compliance)
  • Indefinitely if tied to published works, governance actions, or licensed content

Users can request anonymization if deletion is not permissible under legal frameworks.

9. Jurisdiction & Data Hosting

  • Data is stored within the United States unless otherwise disclosed
  • International users agree to data transfer and jurisdiction under U.S. law
  • Arbitration and dispute resolution clauses apply per platform’s Terms of Service

10. Enforcement & Recourse

Any violations of this policy (internal or external) will result in:

  • Termination of access
  • Legal liability
  • Arbitration or federal reporting (if financial or identity theft is involved)

Privacy policy violations are handled by the Data Protection Officer (DPO) and reviewed quarterly by the Ethics & Compliance Committee.
