Platform Moderation, Content Reporting & Dispute Review Policy

Effective Date: July 30, 2025 Applies To: All users, members, creators, moderators, and administrators across CrownThrive platforms, including ThriveSeat, ThriveAlumni, ThrivePeer, NeuralCraft, CrownRewards, and partner marketplaces.

1. Moderation Principles

CrownThrive upholds the following principles across all platforms:

  • Zero tolerance for hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory behavior
  • Respect for diverse voices and cultural identities
  • Transparency in moderation decisions and escalation procedures
  • Platform integrity above personal bias or political affiliations

All moderation teams are trained to enforce policies fairly and are overseen by the Compliance & Ethics Office.

2. Types of Moderation Actions

Depending on the severity of violation, moderation may include:

  • Content removal or editing
  • Temporary suspension of posting or profile visibility
  • Permanent account ban
  • Referral to the Judicial Committee (for high-ranking members or leadership roles)
  • Public statement or policy clarification (if issue affects a large number of members)

3. Reporting Mechanisms

All platforms include reporting options for:

  • Inappropriate or unsafe content
  • Harassment or threats
  • Plagiarism or intellectual property theft
  • Financial scams or impersonation
  • Moderation bias or abuse of power

Reports can be submitted via the user dashboard, contact forms, or directly to the Governance Office via [email protected].

Anonymous reporting is allowed but must be sufficiently detailed to trigger investigation.

4. Response & Review Timelines

  • Initial acknowledgment of report: within 48 hours
  • Investigation initiation (moderate or higher): within 3 business days
  • Outcome and resolution: typically within 7–14 business days depending on complexity

Emergency issues (e.g., threats of violence or doxxing) are escalated immediately to the Trust & Safety Response Team and may involve external authorities.

5. Appeals Process

Members who have been moderated may request an appeal by:

  • Submitting a written request within 7 days of the decision
  • Including relevant evidence, context, and requested outcome
  • Appealing to the next oversight tier (e.g., from Moderator → Ethics Committee → Board Review)

Appeals are reviewed within 14 days unless otherwise delayed due to platform-wide decisions or investigations.

6. Dispute Resolution Between Members

Disputes between members — especially involving collaboration, payment, project scope, or defamation — are handled as follows:

  • Mediation offered via ThrivePeer if both parties agree
  • Legal review via the Compliance Office if contracts are involved
  • Judicial Committee intervention if one or both parties are platform leadership

Disputes must be documented clearly with screenshots, receipts, or contracts. Emotional claims without evidence are discouraged.

7. Confidentiality & Retaliation Safeguards

  • All reporters are protected from retaliation under CrownThrive’s Member Protection Policy
  • Retaliation or smear campaigns against whistleblowers may result in permanent bans
  • Sensitive reports are only accessible to moderation, legal, or governance personnel involved in the case

8. Community Moderators & Ethics Liaisons

  • Each major platform may appoint 1–3 Moderators and Ethics Liaisons
  • These roles are reviewed quarterly and must complete bias and policy enforcement training
  • Any complaints about moderators must be filed through the internal Ethics escalation process
