1. Purpose

To ensure all courses published on CrownThriveU meet marketplace quality expectations and legal compliance standards while protecting the educational experience of enrolled students.

2. Scope

This SOP applies to:

  • All instructor-submitted courses (live or pre-recorded)
  • Supplementary materials (eBooks, PDFs, templates, slides)
  • Course bundles, upsells, and mentorship products
  • Updates or re-submissions of previously approved courses

4. Process Steps

4.1 Step 1: Course Submission

  • Instructor uploads:
    • Course description
    • Full outline or syllabus
    • Sample video lesson
    • Any downloadable files or handouts
  • System logs the submission for review

4.2 Step 2: Platform Admin Review

  • Platform Admin checks:
    • Lesson structure and completeness
    • Audio/video clarity (minimum 720p, intelligible voice)
    • File format compatibility (MP4, PDF, DOCX, etc.)
    • Relevance to approved topic areas on CrownThriveU
    • Optional: Instructor profile completeness

4.3 Step 3: Content Compliance Screening

  • Content Moderation Team flags for:
    • Prohibited topics (e.g., hate, fraud, unlicensed therapy)
    • Inappropriate claims or offensive material
    • Copyright infringement (music, video clips, etc.)

4.4 Step 4: Legal & IP Review

  • CLO or Legal Ops confirms:
    • Instructor owns or has rights to all submitted content
    • Income/health/spiritual claims include proper disclaimers
    • Instructor has accepted the CrownThriveU Instructor Agreement

4.5 Step 5: Approval or Revisions

  • Admin either:
    • Approves: Publishes course with price, tags, and optional affiliate availability
    • Requests Revisions: Sends feedback with a 7-day correction window
    • Rejects: If content violates legal, ethical, or safety standards

4.6 Step 6: Course Publishing & Notifications

  • Approved course:
    • Goes live on CrownThriveU marketplace
    • Is indexed by category and available for student purchase
    • Instructor receives confirmation with course URL and payout dashboard link
